Clint Bateson vs Karl Mahoney

Boxing Daily Report from the PP Promotions promoted show at Richard Dunn Sports Centre, Bradford,  taking place on 16/12/2045:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Clint Bateson (5(3) - 0) who hails from Blackpool, UK and Karl Mahoney(6 - 11(2) - 1) from Belfast, UK.  Bateson weighed in at 134 pounds And 8 ounces, while Mahoney weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Chris McReynolds, and the three ringside judges are Noah Adams, Daniel McPhillips and Mel Madoc.  

Round 1: 

Bateson closes the distance and drives a firm left hook into Mahoney's body.

Bateson closes the distance and slams a big right uppercut into Mahoney's body.  MAHONEY IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Mahoney is looking to close the distance.  Bateson lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Bateson ties up his opponent.  Bateson leans on his opponent using all his weight. Bateson hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Bateson about fouling.  
Bateson drives a solid right hook into his opponents body.  
Bateson lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Mahoney recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like Mahoney has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Bateson sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND MAHONEY IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 8.  
Bateson lands a left hook, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS MAHONEY DOWN!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Bateson!
