Joe Bird vs Azam Farra

Boxing Daily Report from the Adumensa Promotions promoted show at Gareth Babayaro Gym, Maiduguri,  taking place on 31/01/2046:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Borno State Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joe Bird (17(2) - 15(1)) who hails from Maiduguri, Nigeria and Azam Farra(2 - 2 - 2) from Maiduguri, Nigeria.  Bird weighed in at 146 pounds and 12 ounces, while Farra weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gethin Rotimi, and the three ringside judges are Obaid Shariff, Thompson Ezenwaka and Rex Aduda.

Farra manages to force Bird into the corner.  Bird goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Farra to the neutral corner.  He warns Bird to stop fouling or he'll lose a point.  
Farra sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Bird strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Farra steps inside.  Bird drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Bird gets on the inside.  Farra throws a left hook, but Bird clinches his opponent.  Bird leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Bird's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Bird is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but is not on target.  Bird holds on to his opponent.  Bird leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Farra tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Bird's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Farra about fouling.
