Dai Ednie vs Mark Devlin

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Bell Centre, Montreal,  taking place on 24/03/2046:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dai Ednie (24(22) - 0) who hails from Quebec City, Canada and Mark Devlin(17(15) - 14(13) - 1) from Perth, Australia.  Both Ednie and Devlin weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Coupland, and the three ringside judges are Vivien de Beauvoir, Elliot Girardot and Justin Wake.  

Round 1: 

Ednie is on target with a right hook to Devlin's body.  
Devlin throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid cross.

Ednie switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Ednie pivots to the left of his opponent.  Ednie is on target with a left hook to Devlin's body.  Ednie attempts to land a cross, but Devlin blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut to Ednie's liver.  
Ednie is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a cross.  
Ednie sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Devlin hits home with a firm cross.  Devlin tries to land a left hook, but Ednie parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Devlin attempts to land a cross, but Ednie sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  
Ednie lands a hurtful cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE DEVLIN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Ednie throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  Devlin almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Ednie lands a cross to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Ednie connects with a VICIOUS cross.  DEVLIN IS HURT!  Devlin recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Devlin walks Ednie down, trapping him on the ropes.  Devlin drives a left hook into Ednie's body.  
Ednie switches the action to the outside and hits home with a solid cross.  
Ednie lands two straights followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Ednie is on target with an overhand right.  
Ednie lands two straights to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Ednie lands a powerful cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE DEVLIN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Devlin could be stopped here, if Ednie can find the right shot!  Ednie lands a right hook, left hook and a cross to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the body, a cross to the head and a right hook to the head, KNOCKING DEVLIN DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Devlin now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Ednie lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Devlin quickly recovers. 
Devlin gets on the inside.  Ednie digs in a right uppercut to Devlin's body.  
Devlin manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Devlin drives a solid left hook into Ednie's liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Devlin's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Devlin's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Devlin throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Devlin is looking to close the distance.  Ednie tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Devlin manages to force Ednie into a corner.  Devlin quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Devlin tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Ednie digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Devlin is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Ednie steps away from his opponent and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Ednie lands a solid cross.  
Devlin throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
Ednie steps to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Ednie senses Devlin is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Ednie lands two straights followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, KNOCKING DEVLIN DOWN!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Ednie!
