Mark Reidhead vs Dan Christy

Boxing Daily Report from the Kiwi Promotions promoted show at Brett Cammon Gym, Wellington,  taking place on 28/04/2046:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Wellington Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Reidhead (9 - 19 - 3 - 1(NC)) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Dan Christy(16 - 12 - 4) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Reidhead weighed in at 168 pounds, while Christy weighed in at 167 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jonathan Laurie, and the three ringside judges are Mark Dew, Mark Ruskin and Kyle Kidd.  

Round 1: 

Christy steps away from his opponent.  Reidhead connects with a cross.  
Christy tries to keep the action at long range and throws an overhand right, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Christy is on target with a left hook.  
Reidhead closes the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Reidhead dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Christy manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Christy sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Reidhead's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Reidhead's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Christy's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.
