Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Ian Van Ryneveld Gym, Soweto,  taking place on 31/01/2022:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the South Africa-Gauteng Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montraie Shongwe (5 - 2 - 1) who hails from Mamelodi, South Africa and Joey Van Dyk(3 - 4 - 1) from Johannesburg, South Africa.  Shongwe weighed in at 146 pounds and 11 ounces, while Van Dyk weighed in at 146 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jabulani Segolela, and the three ringside judges are Michael Grobbelaar, Max De Jager and John Nzambi.
