Plexippus Stavropoulos vs Mentor Skondras

Boxing Daily Report from the Kajubi Promotions promoted show at Eustis Mihal Gym, Athens,  taking place on 17/02/2022:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Greece-Attica Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Plexippus Stavropoulos (6 - 2 - 1) who hails from Athens, Greece and Mentor Skondras(4 - 2 - 3) from Piraeus, Greece.  Both Stavropoulos and Skondras weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Damocles Soulis, and the three ringside judges are Glaucus Drakos, Jencir Mundis and Egidio Vlahakis.  

Round 1: 

Stavropoulos closes the distance and digs in a right uppercut to Skondras's body.  
Skondras throws a left hook, but Stavropoulos clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Stavropoulos pushes his forearm into Skondras's face.  The ref breaks Stavropoulos's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Stavropoulos drives a right uppercut into Skondras's ribs.  
Stavropoulos attempts to land a left uppercut, but Skondras sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Stavropoulos lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Stavropoulos holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Skondras wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Stavropoulos dabs at his face checking for damage.

Skondras throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.

Stavropoulos gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Stavropoulos quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Skondras throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Stavropoulos holds on to his opponent.  Stavropoulos throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Stavropoulos about fouling.  
Stavropoulos lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Skondras advances into close range.  Stavropoulos hits home with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Skondras's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Skondras's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
