Callum Chekamondo vs Gus Kamunanwire

Boxing Daily Report from the Hacopyan Promotions promoted show at Kampala Walusimbi, Kampala,  taking place on 02/03/2022:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Uganda-Kampala District Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UTV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Callum Chekamondo (7 - 2) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Gus Kamunanwire(8 - 3) from Kampala, Uganda.  Chekamondo weighed in at 147 pounds, while Kamunanwire weighed in at 146 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ibeamaka Katumba, and the three ringside judges are Salim Tusabe, Michael Tusabe and Mark Hamya.
