Leonel Basco vs Vidal Borromeo

Boxing Daily Report from the Asante Promotions promoted show at Xalvador Paula Gym, Maracaibo,  taking place on 02/03/2022:

Clearly Asante Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Venezuela-Zulia Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leonel Basco (9 - 1) who hails from Maracaibo, Venezuela and Vidal Borromeo(5 - 1 - 4) from Maracaibo, Venezuela.  Both Basco and Borromeo weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Pan, and the three ringside judges are Hilario Florian, Alejandro Rayo and Alvino Tardio.  

Round 1: 

Basco closes the distance and drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Basco is on target with a solid right hook.
