Montenegro Velasco vs Zelipe Cristo

Boxing Daily Report from the Habe Promotions promoted show at Gig Urias Gym, Quito,  taking place on 18/03/2022:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Ecuador-Pichincha Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montenegro Velasco (7 - 1) who hails from Quito, Ecuador and Zelipe Cristo(7 - 0) from Quito, Ecuador.  Velasco weighed in at 115 pounds, while Cristo weighed in at 114 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ovidio Vallez, and the three ringside judges are Seferino Montalbo, Rodrigo Guitron and Hernan Alameda.  

Round 1: 

Velasco throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.
