Joey Buys vs Richard Nzedinga

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Jackson Mkhize Gym, Soweto,  taking place on 05/04/2022:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the South Africa Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joey Buys (8 - 2 - 1) who hails from Germiston, South Africa and Richard Nzedinga(4 - 2 - 1) from Durban, South Africa.  Both Buys and Nzedinga weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Quaashie Duncan, and the three ringside judges are Siphelele Nhlapo, Vuyisile Sekola and John Masina.  

Round 1: 

Buys connects with a solid left hook.  
Nzedinga sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Nzedinga throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook to Nzedinga's ribcage.
