Leighton Makacha vs Jasper Lekimeju

Boxing Daily Report from the Konga Promotions promoted show at Nairobi Ammar, Nairobi,  taking place on 05/05/2022:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leighton Makacha (6 - 4 - 3) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Jasper Lekimeju(7 - 3 - 2) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Makacha and Lekimeju weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Birdi, and the three ringside judges are Kashif Haque, Leon Cassam and Manu Yator.  

Round 1: 

Makacha is on target with a right hook.  
Lekimeju connects with a left hook.  
Lekimeju lands a left hook.  
Lekimeju closes the distance and forces Makacha to back into the corner.  Makacha digs in a left hook to Lekimeju's body.  
Lekimeju sidesteps to the left of his opponent andThe two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Lekimeju dabs at his face checking for damage.

Makacha closes the distance and manages to force Lekimeju into the blue corner.  Makacha wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Lekimeju.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
