Greg Bethell vs George Bates

Boxing Daily Report from the Simasiku Promotions promoted show at Vincent Kitching Gym, Manukau,  taking place on 27/05/2022:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Greg Bethell (5 - 2 - 3) who hails from Waitakere, New Zealand and George Bates(5 - 3 - 4) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Bethell weighed in at 125 pounds and 13 ounces, while Bates weighed in at 125 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Corey Hopper, and the three ringside judges are Jack Hislop, Max Weatherspoon and Ian Skene.
