Mike Hislop vs Diego Cortez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-California promoted show at Jack Meyrick Gym, San Jose,  taking place on 17/06/2022:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-California Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mike Hislop (6 - 4 - 1) who hails from Los Angeles, USA and Diego Cortez(7 - 1) from San Diego, USA.  Hislop weighed in at 199 pounds and 5 ounces, while Cortez weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Rielly, and the three ringside judges are Alec Lochridge, Sam Powell and Stuart Purcell.

Cortez closes the distance and manages to force Hislop into a corner.  Cortez pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.
