Sam Montez vs Kenzie Elliot

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-California promoted show at Jack Meyrick Gym, San Jose,  taking place on 18/07/2022:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Pacific Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sam Montez (2 - 8 - 1) who hails from San Diego, USA and Kenzie Elliot(7 - 0) from Riverside, USA.  Montez weighed in at 153 pounds and 10 ounces, while Elliot weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Adam Reina, and the three ringside judges are Yasin Hashemi, Mick Gwilym and Ian Woodhead.  

Round 1: 

Montez gets on the inside.  Elliot quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Elliot lands a left hook.  Elliot clinches his opponent.  Elliot is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Elliot to stop fouling.  
Montez throws a left hook, but Elliot clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Elliot pushes his forearm into Montez's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Elliot.  
Elliot digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Elliot walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Elliot pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Elliot lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Elliot dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Elliot closes the distance.  Elliot is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  Elliot holds on to his opponent.  Elliot is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Elliot hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Montez is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Montez to stop fouling.  Elliot wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Montez has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused a slight cut in the corner of.  
Elliot lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.

Montez attempts to land a left hook, but Elliot sidesteps and counters with a left hook to Montez's ribs.

Elliot sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Montez steps inside.  Elliot lands a double right hook to his opponents head.
