Boxing Daily Report from the Konga Promotions promoted show at Lavaughn Kimutai Gym, Nairobi,  taking place on 20/08/2022:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Kenya-Mombasa Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Tamarius Maiyani (8 - 1 - 3) who hails from Mombasa, Kenya and Malcolm Nabwera(8 - 6) from Mombasa, Kenya.  Both Maiyani and Nabwera weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dembe Mutunga, and the three ringside judges are Kendis Rimbui, Hugh Wanja and Michael Bwakali.  

Round 1: 

Nabwera switches the action to the outside and attempts to land an overhand right, but Maiyani parries the shot and counters with a right hook.
