Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ireland-Connacht promoted show at Maldron Hotel, Galway,  taking place on 12/08/2022:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the IRBF Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport Ireland, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ashley Maddix (11 - 0) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Karl Laidlaw(11(7) - 0) from Galway, Ireland.  Maddix weighed in at 167 pounds and 10 ounces, while Laidlaw weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fionn Madden, and the three ringside judges are Shamus McCaleb, Niall Monday and Eoghan Quinlan.
