Alfonso Mercedes vs Gig Lanzo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Puerto Rico-Ponce promoted show at Juan Malagon Gym, Ponce,  taking place on 18/08/2022:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Puerto Rico-Ponce Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Puerto Rico Sports Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alfonso Mercedes (8 - 2 - 1) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Gig Lanzo(3 - 0) from Ponce, Puerto Rico.  Both Mercedes and Lanzo weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ramiro Moyano, and the three ringside judges are Beltran Correira, Porfio Miguel and Beltran Correira.
