Lakshman Bhargava vs Kalidas Manhas

Boxing Daily Report from the AI India-Gujurat promoted show at Siddharth Thaker Gym, Surat,  taking place on 01/09/2022:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the India-Gujurat Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lakshman Bhargava (5 - 4 - 1) who hails from Surat, India and Kalidas Manhas(3 - 0) from Surat, India.  Both Bhargava and Manhas weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Waqar Shakoor, and the three ringside judges are Zuffur Nazir, Ajeet Matthai and Gurudas Kalla.  

Round 1: 

Manhas steps inside.  Manhas retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Bhargava steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Bhargava quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Manhas hits home with a right hook.  
Manhas gets on the inside and connects with a right hook.  
Manhas is looking to close the distance and is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Manhas lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  As Manhas tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Bhargava dabs at his face checking for damage.
