Rafael Mezo vs Onofre Vasconcellos

Boxing Daily Report from the Gabuza Promotions promoted show at Jose Ocana Gym, Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz,  taking place on 17/09/2022:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Argentina-Santa Fe Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rafael Mezo (9 - 0) who hails from Rosario, Argentina and Onofre Vasconcellos(6 - 6 - 2) from Rosario, Argentina.  Mezo weighed in at 111 pounds and 9 ounces, while Vasconcellos weighed in at 111 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rodrigo Monsanto, and the three ringside judges are Manny Mathe, Francisco Vasconcellos and Carlos Villeda.  

Round 1: 

Mezo steps inside and digs in a stinging right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  Mezo clinches his opponent.  Mezo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Mezo and breaks the clinch.  
Mezo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Mezo lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Mezo clinches his opponent.  Mezo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Mezo tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Vasconcellos's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mezo about fouling.  
Mezo lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Mezo is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mezo lands two right hook's to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.

Vasconcellos throws a right uppercut, but Mezo clinches his opponent.  Mezo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Mezo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
