Haaris Islam vs Amjad Fawaz

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Federal Territory promoted show at Yasin Ally Gym, Kuala Lumpur,  taking place on 25/09/2022:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Malaysia-Federal Territory Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Haaris Islam (4 - 3 - 2) who hails from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Amjad Fawaz(8 - 2 - 2) from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Both Islam and Fawaz weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gazi Sinai, and the three ringside judges are Ibrahim Mohammed, Rehan Azam and Azam Asmar.  

Round 1: 

Islam is on target with a right hook.  
Islam steps to the outside.  Fawaz tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

Fawaz closes the distance and forces Islam to back into a corner.  Fawaz sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Islam wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Fawaz.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
