Luka Shapovalov vs Alik Novikov

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Russia-Moscow Oblast promoted show at Moscow Afanasyev, Moscow,  taking place on 26/09/2022:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Russia-Moscow Oblast Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport Russia, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Luka Shapovalov (7 - 5 - 2) who hails from Moscow, Russia and Alik Novikov(7 - 2 - 1) from Moscow, Russia.  Shapovalov weighed in at 249 pounds, while Novikov weighed in at 244 pounds and 7 ounces.
