Boxing Daily Report from the Ebrahimian Promotions promoted show at Umlazi Adumensa, Umlazi,  taking place on 02/10/2022:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South Africa Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Laken Chikunga (9 - 0) who hails from Umlazi, South Africa and Steven Krige(11 - 1) from Soweto, South Africa.  Chikunga weighed in at 125 pounds and 15 ounces, while Krige weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ollie Rensburg, and the three ringside judges are Khalon Cardoso, Verlyn Selasee and Cody Fuani.
