Mark Montez vs James French

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Texas promoted show at Ian Herran Gym, San Antonio,  taking place on 18/10/2022:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-SouthWest Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Montez (4 - 3 - 2) who hails from Austin, USA and James French(4 - 7 - 1) from Peoria, USA.  Both Montez and French weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Corfield, and the three ringside judges are Owen Bryde, Paul Mings and Joel Abraham.  

Round 1: 

Montez throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores French's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
