Montenegro Saldivar vs Vegas Ortis

Boxing Daily Report from the Mwase Promotions promoted show at Santiago Quintana, Santiago,  taking place on 16/10/2022:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Chile-Santiago Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UCV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Montenegro Saldivar (9 - 1(1)) who hails from San Bernardo, Chile and Vegas Ortis(5 - 4 - 2) from San Bernardo, Chile.  Both Saldivar and Ortis weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Porfio Cristobal, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Burgos, Fanuco Sison and Salvador Olivo.  

Round 1: 

Saldivar quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Saldivar tries to keep the action at long range.  Ortis attempts to land a cross, but Saldivar parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
