Tobias Mulrennan vs Gavin Owen

Boxing Daily Report from the AI UK-Scotland promoted show at Ken Argall Gym, Glasgow,  taking place on 25/10/2022:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Celtic Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Tobias Mulrennan (9 - 1) who hails from Belfast, UK and Gavin Owen(3 - 1) from Dundee, UK.  Both Mulrennan and Owen weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David McClarnon, and the three ringside judges are William Cooper, Ed McPhatter and Anton Adam.  

Round 1: 

Owen throws a right uppercut, but Mulrennan ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Mulrennan pushes his forearm into Owen's face.  The referee warns Mulrennan and breaks the clinch.  
Mulrennan tries to keep the action at long range.  Owen attempts to land a cross, but Mulrennan blocks the shot and counters with a firm left hook to his opponents body.

Owen closes the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Mulrennan in a corner.  As Mulrennan tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Owen.  That has caused bad damage to the nose.
