Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Arizona promoted show at Phoenix Maldonado, Phoenix,  taking place on 03/11/2022:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-SouthWest Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Irfan Matar (7 - 2 - 1) who hails from Austin, USA and Ricky Llywelyn(9 - 4 - 1) from Tucson, USA.  Both Matar and Llywelyn weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Rodriguez, and the three ringside judges are Lloyd Dougal, Zachary Hunter and Enzo Febus.  

Round 1: 

Matar is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Llywelyn quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Llywelyn lands a cross.  Llywelyn throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Llywelyn sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Llywelyn attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Matar to the neutral corner.  He lectures Llywelyn but does not take away a point.
