Matt Curvis vs Adam Baird

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Utah promoted show at Richie Akins Gym, Salt Lake City,  taking place on 17/11/2022:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Matt Curvis (13(4) - 0) who hails from West Valley City, USA and Adam Baird(10 - 0) from Salt Lake City, USA.  Both Curvis and Baird weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Justin Lloyd, and the three ringside judges are Edward Cary, Edward Cary and Neil Probert.  

Round 1: 

Curvis is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook to Baird's body.  
Curvis voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Baird tries to tag Curvis on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Curvis gets on the inside.  Baird tries to land a left hook, but Curvis blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Baird throws a right hook, but Curvis clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Curvis pushes his forearm into Baird's face.  The referee warns Curvis and breaks the clinch.

Baird switches the action to the outside.  Baird sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Baird throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.
