Steven Vermeulen vs Andy Callum

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Zimbabwe-Bulawayo promoted show at Bulawayo Madziva, Bulawayo,  taking place on 11/12/2022:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Southern African Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Steven Vermeulen (10 - 1) who hails from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and Andy Callum(7 - 2 - 1) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Both Vermeulen and Callum weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jacob Chindungwe, and the three ringside judges are Bryan Shumba, Mark Magwa and Tavarius Muzanenhamo.  

Round 1: 

Vermeulen advances into close range.  Vermeulen pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.
