Ben Strachan vs Ian Keough

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-New Mexico promoted show at Michael Gubay Gym, Albuquerque,  taking place on 14/02/2023:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-SouthWest Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ben Strachan (7 - 3) who hails from El Paso, USA and Ian Keough(7 - 1) from Albuquerque, USA.  Both Strachan and Keough weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Josh Waddell, and the three ringside judges are Gus Maddix, Rob Guerrero and Kris Lorimer.  

Round 1: 

Keough steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Keough holds on to his opponent.  Keough leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Keough pushes his forearm into Strachan's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Strachan tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a cross.  Strachan tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Keough closes the distance and is on target with a right hook to Strachan's body.  Keough tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Keough lands a left uppercut.  
Strachan switches the action to the outside and lands a jab.  
Keough forces Strachan to back into the corner.  Keough lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Keough is on target with a right hook to Strachan's ribs.  
Keough gets on the inside and drives a left hook into Strachan's liver.  Keough clinches his opponent.  Keough tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Strachan behind the head.
