Diego Monge vs Montana Beltre

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Panama-Panama State promoted show at Fantastic Casino de Albrook Mall, Panama City,  taking place on 08/02/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the IRBF Minimumweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on NEXtv, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Diego Monge (13 - 1) who hails from Panama City, Panama and Montana Beltre(12(4) - 0 - 1) from La Plata, Argentina.  Both Monge and Beltre weighed in at 105 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gervasio Poblete, and the three ringside judges are Neron Pasqual, Diego Borjas and Diego Caudillo.  

Round 1: 

Beltre advances into close range.  Beltre pivots from in front of his opponent.  Beltre is on target with a sharp left hook to Monge's body.  Beltre holds on to his opponent.  Beltre pushes his forearm into Monge's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Beltre about fouling.  
Beltre pivots to the side of his opponent.  Beltre tries to land a right hook, but Monge parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
