Rico Arrighi vs John Githae

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Kisumu promoted show at Kisumu Loloupe, Kisumu,  taking place on 19/02/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the WRBC Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rico Arrighi (12 - 2 - 1) who hails from Palermo, Italy and John Githae(11 - 0) from Kisumu, Kenya.  Both Arrighi and Githae weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mick Mutu, and the three ringside judges are Peter Kirui, David Macgoye and Kendis Rimbui.  

Round 1: 

Githae closes the distance and digs in a right hook to Arrighi's ribs.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Githae dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Githae.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.
