Moosa Berrada vs Thawab Mellouk

Boxing Daily Report from the Adamafio Promotions promoted show at Rehman Khawaja Gym, Mohammedia,  taking place on 23/02/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Morocco-Grand Casablanca Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Moosa Berrada (7 - 4 - 2) who hails from Casablanca, Morocco and Thawab Mellouk(7 - 1 - 1) from Casablanca, Morocco.  Berrada weighed in at 174 pounds and 12 ounces, while Mellouk weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hayyan Atika, and the three ringside judges are Jaul Elouadi, Diya al Din Bagui and Hadir Zakaria.  

Round 1: 

Mellouk closes the distance and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.

Berrada retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Mellouk is whaling away with hooks, but Berrada keeps his defence tight.  Mellouk digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mellouk throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Berrada to the neutral corner.  He warns Mellouk that continued fouling will result in a point deduction.
