Mirza Iskenderov vs Osman Hagverdiyev

Boxing Daily Report from the Kamwendo Promotions promoted show at Toshkent Narckulov, Toshkent,  taking place on 02/03/2023:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Uzbekistan-Toshkent Shahri Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mirza Iskenderov (7 - 4 - 1) who hails from Toshkent, Uzbekistan and Osman Hagverdiyev(7 - 6 - 2) from Toshkent, Uzbekistan.  Iskenderov weighed in at 167 pounds And 12 ounces, while Hagverdiyev weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Konstantin Abduragimov, and the three ringside judges are Goga Orudzhev, Khudayar Kazmi and Boris Nuriev.

Hagverdiyev closes the distance.  Iskenderov wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hagverdiyev dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Hagverdiyev gets on the inside.  Iskenderov connects with a left hook.  
Iskenderov sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Hagverdiyev tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Hagverdiyev manouvers Iskenderov into the corner.  Hagverdiyev lands a left hook.

Hagverdiyev advances into close range.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Hagverdiyev has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
