Adnan Sendid vs Rashid Alawa

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Egypt-Cairo promoted show at Gezira Sporting Club, Cairo,  taking place on 14/03/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Northern African Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Modern Sport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Adnan Sendid (11(7) - 0) who hails from Constantine, Algeria and Rashid Alawa(7 - 3) from Cairo, Egypt.  Both Sendid and Alawa weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Azam Azar, and the three ringside judges are Atif Charobim, Majid Zadeh and Kamran Samra.  

Round 1: 

Sendid advances into close range and manouvers Alawa into a corner.  Sendid is on target with a solid left uppercut.  Sendid holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Sendid pushes his forearm into Alawa's face.  The ref breaks Sendid's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
