Hansi Matzen vs Deutsch Bixler

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Germany-North Rhine-Westphalia promoted show at Adalric Marti Gym, Bonn,  taking place on 25/03/2023:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Germany-North Rhine-Westphalia Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hansi Matzen (13 - 1) who hails from Cologne, Germany and Deutsch Bixler(5 - 5 - 2) from Duisburg, Germany.  Both Matzen and Bixler weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hank Kuefler, and the three ringside judges are Kasimir Demerath, Alarick Christ and Harmon Schmidt.  

Round 1: 

Matzen pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Matzen tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

Matzen throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Bixler time to recover.  
Matzen steps inside.  Matzen lands a solid left hook.  As Matzen tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Bixler dabs at his face checking for damage.  Bixler has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Bixler is looking to keep his distance.  Matzen lands a solid jab.  Matzen attempts to land a cross, but Bixler sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Bixler steps to the outside.  Matzen lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Matzen throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
