Alec Matonka vs Marques Kabubu

Boxing Daily Report from the Sangweni Promotions promoted show at Lusaka Mpinganjira, Lusaka,  taking place on 03/04/2023:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Zambia-Lusaka Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alec Matonka (11 - 2) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and Marques Kabubu(7 - 3) from Lusaka, Zambia.  Both Matonka and Kabubu weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Floyd Mubu, and the three ringside judges are Lakista Jumbo, Ben Chiputa and Ibeamaka Urbano.  

Round 1: 

Matonka closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Matonka lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.
