Phil Mnkandla vs Brendan Bello

Boxing Daily Report from the Kuenyehia Promotions promoted show at Brett Gilkison Gym, Harare,  taking place on 03/04/2023:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Zimbabwe-Harare Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Phil Mnkandla (4 - 6 - 3) who hails from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe and Brendan Bello(4 - 7 - 3) from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe.  Both Mnkandla and Bello weighed in at 129 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Oliver Magwa, and the three ringside judges are Jacob Aulds, Richie Mujuru and Kwamin Mahachi.  

Round 1: 

Bello advances into close range and walks Mnkandla down, trapping him in a corner.  Bello lands a left hook.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mnkandla dabs at his face checking for damage.
