Rich Van der Byl vs Jamar Phiri

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Pretoria Morkel, Pretoria,  taking place on 30/04/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the South Africa Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rich Van der Byl (5 - 3 - 3) who hails from Soweto, South Africa and Jamar Phiri(9 - 1) from Khayelitsha, South Africa.  Both Van der Byl and Phiri weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Barry Khuzwayo, and the three ringside judges are Uba Akamenya, Xhosas Kwadwo and Nwa Ntuli.
