Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Cathey, Christchurch,  taking place on 06/05/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Leven (5 - 4 - 2) who hails from Hamilton, New Zealand and Chris Sherriff(5 - 5 - 4) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Leven and Sherriff weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alen Nist, and the three ringside judges are Robert Lawman, Paul Moad and Kahorere Keno.
