Alejandro Manjarrez vs Diego Gascon

Boxing Daily Report from the Muniru Promotions promoted show at Oro San Jose Gym, Madrid,  taking place on 10/05/2023:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Spain-Comunidad de Madrid Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alejandro Manjarrez (5 - 2 - 6) who hails from Madrid, Spain and Diego Gascon(4 - 8 - 3) from Madrid, Spain.  Both Manjarrez and Gascon weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Pancho Nova, and the three ringside judges are Xaver Baro, Senon Gamero and Enzo Florin.  

Round 1: 

Manjarrez is on target with a left uppercut.  
Gascon gets on the inside.  Manjarrez throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Manjarrez steps to the outside.  Gascon throws a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
