Quico Melgar vs Carlos Alvarado

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Colombia-Antioquia promoted show at Universidad EAFIT, Medellin,  taking place on 26/05/2023:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the South American Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CARACOL, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Quico Melgar (13(1) - 2) who hails from Cuenco, Ecuador and Carlos Alvarado(10 - 2) from Bello, Colombia.  Melgar weighed in at 115 pounds, while Alvarado weighed in at 114 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Reynaldo Sagun, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Betancur, Diego Loria and Selestino Corbo.
