Xeres Gabaldon vs Venacio Quijada

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Colombia-Distrito Capital promoted show at Bogota Pomales, Bogota,  taking place on 16/05/2023:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Colombia-Distrito Capital Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CARACOL, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xeres Gabaldon (8 - 2 - 2) who hails from Bogota, Colombia and Venacio Quijada(7 - 3 - 2) from Bogota, Colombia.  Both Gabaldon and Quijada weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ponce Carreon, and the three ringside judges are Alejandro Manuel, Rio Lastra and Leonardo Castano.  

Round 1: 

Gabaldon steps to the outside.  Quijada sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a cross.
