Mario Ripa vs Luigi Paletta

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Italy-Piedmont promoted show at Turin Ucchielli, Turin,  taking place on 22/05/2023:

Clearly AI Italy-Piedmont have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Italy-Piedmont Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mario Ripa (10 - 2 - 2) who hails from Turin, Italy and Luigi Paletta(5 - 2 - 2) from Novara, Italy.  Ripa weighed in at 130 pounds, while Paletta weighed in at 129 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Fabio Rauti, and the three ringside judges are Nero Argan, Francesco Alatri and Enzo Beccalossi.  

Round 1: 

Paletta hits home with a cross.  
Ripa steps inside.  Paletta lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Paletta throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Paletta dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Ripa pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Paletta's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Paletta's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Ripa goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Paletta time to recover.  
Ripa gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.
