Takeo Jo vs Dai Omura

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Saitama promoted show at Japan-Saitama Gym, Saitama,  taking place on 24/05/2023:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Takeo Jo (7 - 4) who hails from Saitama, Japan and Dai Omura(3 - 3 - 1) from Okazaki, Japan.  Both Jo and Omura weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hideki Machida, and the three ringside judges are Hikaru Masaki, Hideki Machida and Daiki Minami.  

Round 1: 

Omura is looking to close the distance.  Jo hits home with a left hook.  
Jo closes the distance.  Omura tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
