Boxing Daily Report from the Makweembo Promotions promoted show at Makweembo Gym, Bacoor,  taking place on 29/05/2023:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Philippines-Cavite Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Sadiri (8(1) - 0) who hails from Bacoor, Philippines and Diego Contrera(8 - 3 - 2) from Silang, Philippines.  Both Sadiri and Contrera weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Mieras, and the three ringside judges are Diego Lakian, Xaverius Binayas and Hernan Binaoro.  

Round 1: 

Sadiri lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Contrera advances into close range.  Sadiri lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Contrera throws a right hook, but Sadiri clinches his opponent.  Sadiri is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Sadiri about fouling.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Contrera has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
