Vince Cadwell vs Mark Erwin

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Alberta promoted show at Calgary Murdoch, Calgary,  taking place on 15/06/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Canada-Ontario Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vince Cadwell (6 - 0) who hails from Markham, Canada and Mark Erwin(7 - 10 - 2) from Toronto, Canada.  Both Cadwell and Erwin weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Moutray, and the three ringside judges are Henry Popkin, Algernon Belizaire and Steven Yale.  

Round 1: 

Cadwell pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.  
Cadwell pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Cadwell lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.

Cadwell voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Erwin steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.

Erwin sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cadwell lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Cadwell holds on to his opponent.  Cadwell is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Cadwell's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
