Corey Vinogradov vs Zach Mate

Boxing Daily Report from the Knoetze Promotions promoted show at Dave Emond Gym, Perth,  taking place on 17/06/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Australia-Victoria Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Corey Vinogradov (8 - 6 - 1) who hails from Melbourne, Australia and Zach Mate(3 - 3) from Melbourne, Australia.  Both Vinogradov and Mate weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Bryden, and the three ringside judges are Richie Higgins, Kian Pugh and Billy Kristoff.  

Round 1: 

Mate steps inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Mate manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Vinogradov is on target with a left hook.  
Vinogradov pivots to the side of his opponent.  Vinogradov attempts to land a right uppercut, but Mate slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.

Vinogradov lands a jab.  
Mate throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Mate's ribcage.  
Vinogradov steps to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Mate is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Mate quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Vinogradov is on target with a left hook.
