Augusto Alicata vs Claudio Cappola

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Italy-Lombardy promoted show at Dewornu Gym, Milan,  taking place on 01/07/2023:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Italy-Lombardy Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Augusto Alicata (10 - 4) who hails from Milan, Italy and Claudio Cappola(7 - 8(1) - 2) from Brescia, Italy.  Alicata weighed in at 129 pounds and 2 ounces, while Cappola weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Luca Adriano, and the three ringside judges are Massimo Giordano, Dante Alboni and Dante Schettini.  

Round 1: 

Cappola throws a left hook, but Alicata ties up his opponent.  Alicata tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Cappola behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Alicata to stop fouling.  
Alicata walks Cappola down, trapping him on the ropes.  Alicata lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Alicata advances into close range.  Alicata sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Cappola throws a left uppercut, but Alicata holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Alicata pushes his forearm into Cappola's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Alicata.  
Alicata lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Alicata is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Alicata connects with a solid left hook.  
Alicata lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Alicata lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Alicata quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.

Cappola wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Alicata dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Alicata lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Alicata clinches his opponent.  Alicata throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Alicata about fouling.  
Alicata is looking to close the distance and forces Cappola to retreat into a corner.  Alicata lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Alicata is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Alicata has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Alicata lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Cappola throws a left hook, but Alicata clinches his opponent.  Alicata leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.
