Fidel Mesa vs Diego Cordero

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Colombia-Antioquia promoted show at Universidad EAFIT, Medellin,  taking place on 17/06/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Colombia Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CARACOL, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Fidel Mesa (10 - 0) who hails from Barranquilla, Colombia and Diego Cordero(11 - 1) from Bello, Colombia.  Mesa weighed in at 122 pounds, while Cordero weighed in at 121 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Cara, and the three ringside judges are Alejandro Yero, Carlos Betancur and Fidel Cruz.
