Mark Loroupe vs Kasi Nkya

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Mombasa promoted show at Mombasa Adel, Mombasa,  taking place on 13/07/2023:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mark Loroupe (9 - 3 - 2) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Kasi Nkya(6 - 3 - 6) from Mombasa, Kenya.  Loroupe weighed in at 153 pounds and 4 ounces, while Nkya weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tavon Wanga, and the three ringside judges are Hassan Badini, James Baldacchino and Michael Bwakali.  

Round 1: 

Loroupe tries to keep the action at long range and throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Loroupe quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Loroupe backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Nkya tries to tag Loroupe on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!
